Everytime I share a photo of our family on an airplane, I get comments like:
“wah, you must be such a big shot now ah..”
And even after sharing that I didn’t spend much more than the economy fare:
“oh, then you must be spending a lot on your credit cards“
And when I say Not really! , they would be in disbelief.
No! it is just that we have all been conditioned to believe that you need a lot of money to travel in Business or First Class. As long as you are already travelling with your family in Economy class, you CAN definitely fly in business/first class one day with your family with the right strategies and save more.
Dream Big & stop searching for just “Economy” class as the default option or paying thousands on a flight ticket for an economy or worse, budget flight.
Why pay for Economy class, IF you can travel in Business/First for much lesser!!
I too, for the longest time always envied those who travel in business & first class, enjoying their vintage champagne, fine wine, lobsters, caviar, lie-flat bed, while I was stuck in economy class because that was the only thing I could afford, & even used to ‘steal’ their cutleries as a ‘souvenir’, to make what I paid for worth it..
I decided to change that and research how to travel in style on the cheap, since I feel it is also the journey that matters. It took me just over a year, with the right credit card strategy on spending, to be able to travel on business class with the family & now to experience First/Suites class as a couple as well. It has become my hobby to “travel hack”, so this will be the place where I will share my tips and tricks.
Its mind-blowing that the magic of “miles” can allow anyone, to enjoy such luxurious experience typically reserved for the rich, just by tweaking your use of credit cards, so grab that opportunity la!
There are already many bloggers out there who share such “travel hacking” tips. To get started you can also refer to Singapore-based travel hack sites such as Milelion, MainlyMiles & Suitesmile. However, this is relatively easier to do if you are a single or couple traveller. With a Family, it can be 4-5X harder!! Hence, here at SGMILES, would mainly focus on Premium Family Travel (with infants /children).
Business & First class is an experience that must be tried at least once. Not so much the flight only, but the whole experience even before boarding can be amazing!
